In
a quiet corner of the garden, a peaceful retreat.
This
green oak room was originally going to have three walls filled in
with woven larch panels. The owner decided to leave it open in the
end, enjoying the way the frame works with the hedge and the changing
character of the garden visible beyond the spaces.
It
has been placed on York Stone paving, elevated on a soft red brick
plinth. Roof treatment Keymer Shire tiles with rolled lead hips
and ridges.
This
building shows the lovely soft colour of the greying aged oak.
It
sits beautifully in its natural surroundings.
